Stan Lee, born Stanley Martin Lieber (New York, 28 December 1922 - Los Angeles, 12 November 2018), was an American writer and comic book author. He became best known as creator of superheroes and their enemies at Marvel Comics, along with Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko. Thanks in part to their successes, Marvel managed to grow from a small publisher into a major multimedia conglomerate. Well-known creations of his include: Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Iron Man.
